Green Manufacturing of Automobile Parts has Great Prospects

發布日期:2021-11-02 15:11:29

With the increasing production, sales and ownership of automobiles in China, how to disassemble, recycle and reuse a large number of used automobiles has become a topic of concern. Recently, at the National Symposium on the promotion of remanufacturing of automotive parts held in Xiangfan, Hubei Province, experts and responsible persons of automotive manufacturing enterprises agreed that the use of remanufactured products with lower manufacturing costs and consumption costs is undoubtedly of practical significance in the context of increasingly tight energy and resources and higher environmental protection standards. As a big country of automobile production and consumption, China's automobile parts remanufacturing industry not only has great market potential, but also has great potential.

Green Manufacturing Promotes Energy Saving and Material Saving

In the view of industry experts, automotive parts remanufacturing is a resource-saving and environmental protection industry.

Two cases fully illustrate this point. Since 1947, Volkswagen has manufactured 7.48 million more engines, saving about 59 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, saving more than 384,000 tons of materials (steel and aluminium). The saved steel can build 49 Eiffel Towers and 161 Golden Gate Bridges. In China, Dongfeng Cummins Engine Company plans to remanufacture about 10,000 engines by 2010, saving 11.6 million kilowatt-hours of electricity and 6,500 tons of material (steel, castings and aluminium).

"Automotive parts remanufacturing is a typical energy-saving and material-saving industry, with considerable results." He Guangyuan, honorary president of China Automobile Industry Association, said, "Generally speaking, compared with new products, remanufactured products can save 60% energy and 70% material. For the automotive industry, there are many ways to save energy and reduce emissions, and the remanufacturing of spare parts is undoubtedly an important way.

Zhu Fushou, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Dongfeng Company and the general manager of Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd., believes that the practice of European and American countries has proved that remanufacturing is an important way to realize circular economy. Especially the remanufacturing and reusing of old automobile parts can reduce resource consumption and environmental pollution from the source, and fundamentally change people's consumption concept. It can not only enhance traditional production. The competitiveness of the industry can also enhance the sustainable development ability of enterprises, with significant economic, environmental and social benefits.

Broad prospects for industrial development

Automotive parts remanufacturing has a broad market prospects. In the United States, the largest remanufacturing industry is automotive remanufacturing, with more than 50,000 companies engaged in remanufacturing, with a total annual sales of 36.5 billion US dollars. Japan's Honda, Nissan and other automotive companies have recovered more than 95% of their automotive parts.

"As a big country of automobile production and consumption, spare parts remanufacturing has a good development foundation and potential not only in terms of technology maturity, economy, but also in terms of industrial scale." He Guangyuan said.

According to him, China's automobile production reached 8.88 million vehicles in 2007, which is expected to hit the 10 million mark this year. Car ownership could climb to 63 million by 2010. Considering 1000 yuan spare parts per vehicle, the demand will be 63 billion yuan by 2010. "If 5% of them adopt remanufactured products, it will also need 3.75 billion yuan to remanufacture products. At present, China's automobile remanufactured products are less than 800 million yuan, and there is a large market space."

In March this year, China formally identified 14 automobile (machine) manufacturers and automobile parts remanufacturing enterprises, such as FAW, Dongfeng and Jianghuai, to carry out the pilot project of automobile parts remanufacturing. The range of automotive parts and components for remanufacturing pilot projects is tentatively defined as five categories of products: engines, gearboxes, generators, starters and steering gears. According to Zhu Fushou, Dongfeng Hongtai has mastered the whole process of automobile disassembly and remanufacturing. Dongfeng Cummins has also started the remanufacturing project of engine parts, and now has the ability to manufacture 3000 sets annually. Dongfeng also plans to invest 200 million yuan in three years to build a pilot base for remanufacturing automotive parts covering an area of 300 mu. After the completion of the pilot base, it is estimated that 50,000 used automobiles, 100,000 tons of waste materials and 100,000 sets of automobile parts will be recycled and disposed of annually.

Many information shows that "green manufacturing" of automotive parts in China has embarked on a journey. However, according to the statistics of 14 pilot enterprises reported by China Automobile Association, if we want to achieve the development goals set by the state in 2010, the current development goals of 14 are far from meeting the needs of the development of the situation.

Statistics show that by 2010, China's automotive parts remanufacturing capacity: about 110,000 remanufactured engines, 60,000 remanufactured transmission, about 1 million remanufactured generators and starters, with a total output value of less than 2.5 billion yuan. "Compared with the remanufactured developed countries, we still have a considerable gap. A few years ago, the value of remanufactured auto parts in the United States had reached 50 billion US dollars, and we only had more than 300 million US dollars. He Guangyuan said, "Whether from the market demand or narrowing the gap with developed countries, there is great potential to develop China's automotive parts remanufacturing industry.
